Musicians like Ron Gallo are working to keep the soul in rock ‘n roll by staying loose, treating their instruments like wrecking balls and never – on stage or off – settling for a mediocre moment. Ron blew the roof off the main stage at this year’s Otis Mountain Get Down, and left a puffy-haired, ear-ringing impression on the whole community. There’s very little we can say about his music that it doesn’t say for itself the second you hear it.
