A campfire style storytelling open mic. Join us around the fire at the lean-to tell a 5 minute true story around the themes of “Hot Mess”—or if you’re not feeling so bold feel free to swing by to check out performances. There will be giveaways for every storyteller and two local storytelling emcees.

Screenprint your own custom Otis poster with Iskra collective, a non-profit community space dedicated to the practice, understanding, and appreciation of the printmaking arts.
Kids Outdoor Walk Friday, Sep 6 | 4:00-6:00 pm @ Center Tent
Let your little ones explore the trails that make the forest at Otis as cool as the music. Kids can take a short hike, try a scavenger hunt, meet a few plants and animals, or see the tree house! Ages 6-10. Wear shoes you can hike in and bring a water bottle.

Stop by the main stage tent to create things to remember your time here at Otis. There will be all sorts of options from making your capes, painting your own pottery, making your own candles and so much more!
Once the festival is finished we have a responsibility to Mother Nature to clean up after ourselves. Tasks will include picking up micro (and probably some macro) trash, handing out trash bags, and directing people to waste bins.
One n' done shift, you won’t miss any music, be the change we want to see in this fest.
Secrets of a Good Loop lead by Tom Pearo Saturday, Sep 7 | 3:00-4:00 pm @ The Lean-to
Ambient guitar guru and looping wizard Tom Pearo explains his unique philosophy behind looping as well as shares some of his deepest secrets about how to create organic and evolving loops. A brief history of looping will be followed by live demonstrations to show exactly how to apply the techniques. There will be an audience Q&A at the end where everyone is encouraged to ask questions and is welcome to come up and try the looping techniques live! A must see for anyone into looping, novice or expert!

Join us as we examine the landscape of Otis Mountain through the lens of cultural and historical artifacts to achieve a more thorough view of the present moment in this time and space. The tour will include contextual and interpretive analysis on such landmarks as snow cats, wooden signs, art installations, individual campsites, and even architectural elements found on site during the Otis Mountain Get Down.
