OUR CODE OF CONDUCT
In the interest of fostering an open and welcoming environment, we as event staff pledge to making participation in the Otis Mountain Get Down and our community an inclusive, fun, and harassment-free experience for everyone.
We’ve worked hard to create a safe and fun environment for everyone. For this reason we keep a professional security team and a full medical staff on site throughout the duration of the weekend. However, safety is a two-way street. The responsibility to keep each other safe includes you. We want you to know how much we appreciate your positive involvement in this community, and we’re asking you to do your part.
We humbly ask that you respect the Otis community and our values by adhering to our safety standards, which not only include responsible consumption of legal substances, but prohibit fires, weapons, glass, dogs, and fireworks.
How to be —
Be respectful.
Respect yourself. Respect each other. Respect Otis Mountain. This is how we ensure the healthy growth of our community.
Be respectful.
If you see something, say something. The safety of our event is improved when you are looking out for each other.
Be curious.
Take an opportunity away from your day to day to experience Otis Mountain, make new connections, and lasting memories.
Unacceptable behaviors —
Discrimintation & harassment.
Any form of unwanted behavior including but not limited to discriminatory or derogatory language or unwelcome sexual attention will not be tolerated.
Irresponsible use of intoxicants.
Only adults over the age of 21 may possess or consume alcohol. Any use or possession of illegal substances is strictly prohibited. Any individual participating in these behaviors is subject to immediate removal from the event.
What to do —
We will not tolerate harassment of Otis Mountain community members in any form. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the Otis Staff, Security, or Medical team immediately. Otis staff or security are always stationed at the Front Gate.
